Community Engagement

The group supports healthy relationships across the Collaborative by helping to shape the processes that we use to gather and interact with one another. This group formed to support work funded by a MEHAF Healthy Communities grant to engage people from across the community in a conversation that identified priority health issues and created a plan to address those issues.

Key Accomplishments:

  • Responsible for a carefully crafted process of bringing people together and connecting them with one another known as Healthy Community Gatherings. These gatherings build relationships and empower participants. The success of this effort was captured in a MEHAF case study, available here. Host trainings support participants in taking leadership.

  • Restorative Community Trainings, evolved from Gatherings to support meaningful connections across a variety of personal and professional settings.
